Construction update: The Finishing Touches

After nearly two years, Anduro’s brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is finally complete. Located in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the building is three times the size of the former facility, boasting over 155,000 square feet. In addition, Anduro has added several new pieces of equipment from B&B Verpackungstechnik GmbH  and Starlinger which will dramatically increase both our capacity AND our capabilities.

CEO Marc Datelle notes, “As our business continued to grow in support of our increasing customer base, we knew it was time to build our own custom facility dedicated to the production of world class flexible packaging.  We have more than doubled our footprint, which has added significant and much-needed capacity while at the same time allowing us the opportunity to incorporate several innovative upgrades.  This not only enables us to deliver more packaging but also provides our team with exciting new capabilities.”

Two other areas of focus in the new facility are compliance with global food safety standards (GFSI compliant facility) and sustainability.  With the purposeful design including a solar-paneled roof, Anduro is significantly minimizing its carbon footprint. In fact, the building will be carbon neutral as certified by ClimatePartner.

“Throughout the construction process, we made absolutely certain that GFSI compliance, workflow efficiency and a conscious responsibility to the environment we work and live in were all at the forefront of this amazing new facility,” states Marc Datelle. “We’re just as committed to the future as we are the present.  We are committed to being an environmentally-friendly manufacturer and to improving every facet of what we do and how we do it. We truly understand the importance of sustainability and what it means to our customers.”

Anduro is looking forward to sharing all of the added benefits with its customers soon. Although the new building is completely operational, it won’t officially open for a few more weeks.
