It’s Done! The Final Construction Update

After more than two years of meticulous planning and construction, Anduro is proud to announce the completion of our brand new, state-of-the art manufacturing facility in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Covering more than 155,000 square feet, the facility is a testament to Anduro’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. This new facility more than doubles our capacity as a leader in the manufacturing of flexible packaging and will allow us to continue to serve some of the world”s largest and most demanding consumers of Woven BOPP and flexible plastic packaging.

According to CEO Marc Datelle, “This was a massive undertaking that required a tremendous amount of planning in order to completely move our entire operation without a single day of disruption for our customers. I am very proud of our team, and what we were able to accomplish. The results are a manufacturing headquarters that turned out even better than any of us had imagined. With the additional capacity, brand new equipment and industry-leading sustainability initiatives, the only people that might be more excited than us are our clients.”

The new facility has sustainability at its core with nearly every aspect of its purposeful design aimed at minimizing environmental impact. Among the standout features are solar panels covering the entire roof, ensuring renewable energy powers the facility’s operations. In addition, there are high-efficiency heat exchange systems and water reclamation technologies that further reduce energy consumption and allow us to claim a near zero waste facility. All of this combined with a few other thoughtfully integrated features ensure the building is carbon neutral (scope 2 level) as certified by Climate Partner.

Along with the future, Anduro has also invested heavily in several new, top-of-the-line pieces of equipment from B&B and Starlinger. The additional equipment will more than double the company’s capacity for flexible packaging and dramatically increase its capabilities. Speaking of new capabilities, the new manufacturing site is fully GFSI compliant, which gives customers the added confidence in us as a supplier while also paving the way for Anduro to provide its highly sought after products in new markets.

Furthermore, the facility introduces new manufacturing capabilities, including the production of low-cost PET bags and fully recyclable polyethylene (PE) packaging. This evolution of product lines highlights Anduro’s adaptability and responsiveness to evolving customer needs and industry trends.

Marc Datelle notes, “We are truly grateful that our customers have supported us in ways that allowed us to achieve this significant milestone in our growth as a company. The Anduro family is and always will be immensely appreciative of all the opportunity our wonderful customer relationships provide for us. In return, we will continue to invest in our infrastructure and our people in order to forge ahead with our goal to be the absolute best in what we do.”

Overall, the new manufacturing plant positions Anduro as one of the largest manufacturers of polywoven pinch bags in the world, further solidifying its reputation as a global leader in the industry. Every single member of the Anduro team is excited about being a part of what we have built and is enthusiastic about what the future holds for the company and our clients.
